General
objectives
|
The objective
of the programme is to improve the competitiveness
of SMEs in EU border regions and develop their trade relations
and industry links with SMEs in the border regions of
the candidate countries or in the non-border regions of
the current EU Member States. To achieve this objective,
the programme will support the organisation and implementation
of regional partnership events for SMEs that aim to:
(i) foster cooperation between SMEs to help them establish
contacts, networks and collaborative links with a view
to establishing future business relations;
(ii) stimulate the transnational and cross-border activities
of SMEs with a view to identifying common business interests
and market opportunities arising from the enlargement
process;
(iii) give SME owners and managers access to providers
of technical and financial services, and marketing assistance
to help them achieve the programme's objectives. |

Kriti, Notio Aigaio, Voreio Aigaio,
Austria: Burgenland, Kärnten, Niederösterreich, Oberösterreich,
Steiermark, Wien,
Germany: Berlin, Brandenburg, Chemnitz, Dresden, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern,
Niederbayern, Oberfranken, Oberpfalz.

Finance

Overall amount
available for this call for proposals EUR 7,5 million.
Minimum grant for a project: EUR 750 000.
Maximum grant for a project: EUR 1 500 000.
Maximum proportion of project costs to be covered by Community
funding: 80 %. |

Applications must be submitted using the standard application
form attached to the guidelines for applicants mentioned,
whose format and instructions must be strictly observed.
For each application, one signed original and three
copies must be supplied by the applicant.
Applications must be received in a sealed envelope by
registered mail,by express messenger or by hand delivery
to the address indicated in the guidelines for applicants,
section 2.2.2. The envelope must bear the reference
number of the notice of publication for the call for
proposals,the full name of the applicant,the address
of the organisation, and the words ‘Not to be opened
before the opening session ’. Any application received
by the Contracting Authority after this deadline or,
if sent by registered mail,post- marked after the deadline
will not be considered.
