Description of planned activities
- sub-sector partnership meetings (activity code
No 124): Financial contribution, on a cost-sharing and
demand-driven basis, to ACP and EU intermediary organisations
willing to initiate and organise sub-sector partnership
meetings. The objectives are a) to facilitate south-south
and north-south Investment and Inter-Enterprise Co-operation
Agreements (I&ICAs) in the selected sub-sector; b) to
encourage co-operation between EU and ACP Intermediary
Organisations (IOs) and c) to strengthen the capacity
of intermediary organisations to organise sub-sector
partnership meetings in ACP.
- sector or sub-sector partnership missions in the
ACP (activity code No 126-1): Support to ACP intermediary
organisations for the organisation of sector or sub-sector
partnership missions in ACP regions/countries. The purpose
of the partnership missions are a) to facilitate south-south
and north-south investment and inter-enterprises co-operation
agreements (I&ICAs) and, b) to develop or to reinforce
existing linkages between EU and ACP intermediary organisations.
- inter-enterprise twinning-mentoring initiatives
(activity code No 126-2): Support to ACP and EU intermediary
organisations for the identification of specific opportunities
of twinning — mentoring activities between EU and ACP
enterprises and for the organisation of tailored twinning
— mentoring missions. The purpose of this activity is
to promote south-south and north-south investment and
partnerships in the same sector of activity and to facilitate
ACP intermediary organisations to the use of twinning
— mentoring type tools.
- ACP partnership missions in the EU or in the ACP
countries (activity code No 127): Support for the
identification and selection of ACP companies to attend
‘Investment and Inter-Enterprise Co-operation Agreements’
(I&ICAs) promotion events in EU and in ACP countries.
The aim of this component is to facilitate the organisation
of delegations of ACP companies to attend investment
and partnership promotion events in order to increase
inward flows of investment, technology, know-how and
managerial skills.
Proposed activities should have a regional scope and
be result oriented.

Target
group
|
Activity
code No 124:
Eligible beneficiaries should be groupings of at least
three private, public and semi-public intermediary organisations
from three ACP countries and at least three intermediary
organisations from three Member States of the European
Union.
Activity code No 126-1:
EU and ACP intermediary organisations. The request will
come from at least one ACP IO. jointly with at least two
intermediary organisations of two different countries
in the EU.
Activity code No 126-2:
One or more private, public or semi-public national or
regional ACP intermediary organisations and a) at least
two intermediary organisations from two different Member
States of the EU or b) at least one intermediary organisation
from another ACP country.
Activity code No 127:
At least one ACP intermediary organisation jointly with
at least a) one EU intermediary organisation or b) one
ACP intermediary organisation from another ACP country. |

Duration

| Maximum
duration for implementation of the project 30 months (
If the implementation of the activity has not started
within three months of notification, then the approval
will be withdrawn, unless the delay is duly justified
and approved in advance by Proinvest.), from the date

Deadline

There
will be four deadlines for receiving applications in 2003:
30 April;
16 June,
15 September
and 15 October. |
