Description of planned activities
Business Development Services initiatives are proposed
(and if approved, implemented) by ‘Intermediaries’ (see
item 7) whose scope of activities includes Investment
and Inter-enterprise Co-operation Agreements (I & ICAs).
- Capacity building and ad hoc training for ACP intermediaries
(activity code No 131): Provision of investment promotion
related capacity building and ad-hoc training assistance
to Intermediaries who will be assisted to develop or
extend the range of their investment promotion related
business development services. The aim is to provide
selected intermediaries with the relevant expertise
and tools to assist companies and their members to implement
investments and partnership agreements.
- Reinforcement of investment promotion agencies
at regional level (activity code No 132): Provision
of capacity building and ad-hoc training assistance
to Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) and Export Promotion
Zones (EPZ) who will be assisted to develop or extend
the range of their business development services. The
aim is to provide selected IPAs and EPZs with the relevant
expertise and tools to assist their clients to promote
and implement investments and partnership agreements.
Proposed projects should have a regional scope and be
result oriented.
